END OF LIFE

Funerals at The Town Church

The Town Church is a very special place to have your marriage service. The beautiful building with its wonderful architectural features provides the perfect setting for you to make your vows in front of friends and family and in the sight of God. You will be joining in a long tradition with the thousands of couples who have made their vows in the Town Church over the last six hundred or so years.

As well as larger weddings with up to 300 guests, the Town Church can also offer the Lady chapel for smaller more intimate services (up to 20 guests)

Exquisite music

The Town Church has an exceptional choir, a wonderful organ and a full peal of bells which can all add to making your wedding service extra special.

Whatever stage you are at we would love to have the opportunity to chat with you and to pray for you as you continue your journey of love together.

Weddings in Herm

The island of Herm is part of the Town Church parish and therefore we can also arrange for wedding services in the beautiful St. Tugual’s chapel.

Weddings outside the Church

With the changes to the marriage laws  in 2021 it is now possible for weddings to take place anywhere on the island. If you would like a religious wedding service anywhere in the Bailiwick, outside of a church, our clergy are licenced to do this. Please get in touch with us to discuss.

We are committed to ensuring the Town Church is a safe place for all and adhere to all applicable safeguarding best practice.

The Town Church's safeguarding officer is Ruth Abernethy. Ruth can be contacted at ruth_abernethy@hotmail.com or  Tel: 07781 181 281

Please contact Ruth immediately if you have any concerns about a child or vulnerable adult.
