François Cloete (21) is organ scholar at Merton College, Oxford, where he is also an academic exhibitioner. A prize-winning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, François has held posts at Wells and Hereford Cathedrals. His playing has been broadcast live on national radio and television, and he gives recitals across the UK. François currently directs the Oxford Baroque Players, studying harpsichord with Terence Charlston at the Royal College of Music. A Guernsey local, François attended Elizabeth College and enjoys music-making on the island over the holidays.  François will be directing the Messiah from Scratch to be held at Town Church Friday 29 December at 7.00pm
